Generative AI in Business Communication
When OpenAI’s ChatGPT-3 was released to the general public in November 2022, the world was introduced to a ground-breaking technology that would forever change how people research and analyze information; create documents, images, and graphical elements; brainstorm and outline ideas; create videos and code; interact with artificial intelligence agents; process and interpret large datasets; and more. Its impact extends to all areas of business, science, economics, medicine, education, engineering sectors, to name a few. While fierce debate surrounds the use of generative artificial intelligence (genAI) in all spheres, we cannot ignore its tremendous benefits—from scientific breakthroughs, to improving access to information, to streamlining workflow, to time-saving content creation, to bulk information processing, and the like. This unit will introduce you to foundational knowledge and skills relating to genAI.
